Are you driven by your passion for open source? Are you excited about being part of a community that applies the principles and philosophies traditionally found in open source software to open hardware? Are you interested in any or all Data Center technologies? Maybe you are just curious to see what Facebook, Microsoft, Rackspace, Intel, Goldman Sachs and other members have been up to since the last Open Compute Project (OCP) summit?
No matter what your motivation is we want you to join us, the OCP Foundation, and other industry thought leaders at the upcoming OCP US Summit 2015 on 10-11 March at the San Jose Convention center in San Jose, California. Registration ends on 27 February, so don’t forget, register today.
We will have an exciting line up of keynote, executive track and engineering workshop speakers for you. Topics you can expect to hear about include: Data Center, Certification, Hardware Management, HPC, Networking, Open Rack, Server, Storage, Telco/Comms. The expo floor will be filled with booths representing all areas of participation across our community. Come see OCP hardware and those who are making it, selling it and adopting it.
Call for Participation
The call for participation is open still open until 6 February. Do you have a great adoption story? Do you have a story around the cool ways you or your organization is using OCP hardware or innovating on top of it? Are you involved in one of the OCP Projects and you’re now ready to submit a specification or design and want to present that to the community? Then take a moment and submit a talk. We will be letting all those who submitted a talk know the status of their submission and will post the schedule the week of 18 February.
Are you a hacker at heart? Have a great idea for innovating data center technologies or want to hack on hardware to seed your company? The OCP Hardware Hack will consist of 2 tracks;the first track will encompass all active hardware projects under the Open Compute Project; the second track is allows you to hack on hardware that is outside of the existing active OCP projects. More information about the Hackathon can be found here. Get your team together and register today!
While there will be Engineering Workshop sessions as part of the OCP US Summit 15 event, new this year is a separate OCP Engineering Workshop day which is being held on 9 March at the San Jose Convention Center. Space is very limited for this event and currently the workshop shop on 9 March is sold out. If you are on the waitlist for the Engineering workshop we will let you know your status by 18 February. We are working on making remote participation available and will publish information on this option as we get closer to the event.
