Rob Bunger (Schneider Electric) becomes new IC Representative for the Data Center Facility Project

The OCP Foundation and community is effective because of our members who give of their time, talent and resources.  Each of our members plays an important role in accelerating the consumption of OCP gear, as well as the continued cultivation of collaboration efforts of the project communities and the increasing quality and openness of the contributions to OCP.  We can’t say, “thank you” enough!

Jason Schafer is no longer eligible to serve as the Incubation Committee Representative for the Data Center Project Facility Project.  The OCP Foundation would like to recognize Jason for his hard work and dedication to OCP over the years. 

Robert Bunger (Schneider Electric), has been nominated and selected to serve as the IC Representative for the Data Center Facility Project. He will serve in this role for the remainder of the term, until June 2019. Previously, Robert was the Project Lead for the Data Center Facility Project, and we are excited to see how he will use this expertise to drive the project forward.

Bio: Robert Bunger is the Director of Data Center Standards at Schneider Electric within the Global Industry and Government Alliances team, and is based in the US.  In his 18 years at Schneider Electric, Robert has held management positions in customer service, technical sales, offer management, and business development.  He has also lived and worked in Denmark and China, where he supported data center solutions business growth in those regions.

Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Robert was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy and served eight years in the submarine force. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the US Naval Academy and a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).
