Amber Graner joins the foundation as community manager

The Open Compute Foundation is excited to welcome Amber Graner, who has joined the foundation as its community manager.

Amber began her personal journey into open source in 2009, when she began blogging about her experiences with Ubuntu, filing bugs, organizing and speaking at various Linux events, and more. Amber insists that the days of “by the techie for the techie” in Linux and open source are gone and encourages anyone who wants to contribute to a project to do so.

Before joining the Open Compute Project, Amber was the community manager for Linaro, an engineering organization that consolidates and optimizes open source Linux software and tools for the ARM architecture.

Amber is a co-author of the Official Ubuntu Book and a technical reviewer of Art of Community. Other articles and blog posts by Amber can be found in Linux Pro and Ubuntu User Magazines, InformIT, and the Linaro Blog.

Please join us in welcoming Amber, and keep an eye out for her in our Facebook group, on Twitter, and at future OCP engineering workshops and summits!
