The OCP NIC 3.0 specification introduces a third-generation mechanical form factor, promoting seamless compatibility between compliant baseboards and OCP NIC 3.0 cards.

The OCP NIC 3.0 specification builds upon the foundation of the OCP Mezz 2.0 rev 1.00 design specification. Within the OCP NIC 3.0 specification, two primary card sizes are supported: Small Form Factor (SFF) and Large Form Factor (LFF). The SFF format enables up to 16 PCIe® lanes on the card edge, while the LFF accommodates up to 32 PCIe lanes.
