Submissions for Innovation Village Stations at the 2024 OCP Global Summit are now closed.
The OCP Innovation Village (previously Experience Center) is a non-commercial section of the OCP Summit Exhibit Hall. This year the Innovation Village will include two curated sections:
- As in previous years, a hands-on, engineering lab experience which showcases collective and collaborative work in-progress in OCP Projects that can include pre-product and full stack solutions embodying OCP Community authored specifications, or software and hardware tools enabling best practices.
- Previous years Future Technologies Symposium emerging technologies demonstrations that are likely to be included in products in the next 18 to 24 months. These demonstrations include innovative live models, physical prototypes, and simulations showcasing future technologies.
The OCP Foundation may also invite adjacent communities to provide non-commercial technology demonstrations to enhance the overall educational experience of Summit attendees.
Our next Innovation Village will be showcased at the 2024 OCP Global Summit, October 15-17 in San Jose, California. See below for instructions and criteria to submit for a Station.
Criteria
This is a non-commercial experience, therefore the demo topic must be relevant to the OCP Community, ideally reflect OCP tenets, and have an impact outside of commercial opportunities.
- Stations led by an OCP Project or demonstrate a significant emerging technology will be given priority.
- Demo topic must be exemplifying or have the potential to be part of an approved OCP Contribution.
- Demo topic must be relevant to the OCP Community and not be commercial in nature.
- Station must be interactive and important for first-hand display, not something that could easily be shared virtually.
- Demo/topic should complement the overall Summit theme: From Ideas to Impact.
- All Stations must be supported by sponsorship in some capacity. Innovation Village Station sponsorships are available. Contact kali@opencompute.org for more information.
